EXPLORING INNER WORK:
THE FAIRY TALE FILMS OF
LAURA LEWIS-BARR
“Fairy tales are the simplest and purest expressions of the collective unconscious and thus offer the clearest understanding of the basic patterns of the human psyche.”
- Jungian analyst Marie-Louise von Franz

Fairy tales contain healing wisdom. Each month we’ll watch a short film (under 15 minutes) and use the film as a tool, a guide, and a safe structure to explore our inner life.
Laura’s films are homemade creations that beckon us toward play. Both stop motion films and fairy tales speak to our heart center, the inner child. The focus of this group will be on the feeling function and locating where and how the symbols and guidance of the tale might appear in our daily lives.
